National Geographic Bee
What: First Round of the 2007 National Geographic Bee, Oral Competition
Where: Eagle Valley Middle School, 747 East Third Street, Eagle
When: Tuesday, January 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the E.V.M.S. Media Center
For the 19th year, the National Geographic Society is holding the National Geographic Bee for students in fourth through eighth grades in thousands of schools across the United States and in the five U.S. territories, as well as in Department of Defense Dependents Schools around the world.
The winner of Eagle Valley Middle School’s bee, which is an oral competition to be held on January 9th, will advance to the next level of competition, a written examination to determine state competitors. All school champions are eligible to win the national championship and its first prize, a $25,000 college scholarship, at the national competition May 22 and 23, 2007, in Washington, D.C.
