Join us at 4-Eagle Ranch on Sunday from 10am to 4pm for the 18th Annual Wild West Day.

Wild West Day this Sunday

Kids will have a chance to ride ponies, scale the climbing wall, get their face painted and more at the 18th Annual Wild West Day.

Yee-Ha! The 2008, 18th Annual Wild West Day is upon us, partners. Giddy-on up to the 4-Eagle Ranch in Wolcott on Sunday, September 28, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for a rootin', tootin' good time. Admission is $5 per person and kids 2 and under are free. Raffle tickets have been sent home for students to sell, so lasso up a critter and get your raffle ticket today.

Wild West Day is a local hoe-down filled with fun, games, food and entertainment for the whole family. The money raised will enhance the education of our children and benefits each and every one of Eagle County Schools' elementary schools. Bring the whole gang out for our silent auction, pony and wagon rides, a climbing wall and much, much more.

You will have a chance to spring one of our Eagle County School jail birds from the clinker, or leave 'em there for all eternity.

Here is a schedule of when the local jail birds will be in the slammer:

10:30 - Lootin' Lindsey from Eagle Valley Elementary School.

11:00 - Merciless Mitch from Gypsum Elementary School.

11:30 - Horrible Harris from Red Sandstone Elementary School.

12:00 - Criminal Cummings from Meadow Mountain Elementary School.

12:30 - Slick Blick from June Creek Elementary School.

1:00 - Hit the Deck, it's Heckman from Brush Creek Elementary School.

1:30 - Sure Slingin' Schott from Red Hill Elementary School.

2:00 - Sure Shot Hanssen from Edwards Elementary School.

2:30 - Terrible Traci Barber from June Creek Elementary School.

There are more than 600 volunteer positions that need to be filled as well, both on the day of the event and leading up to the event. One great way to volunteer is to donate baked goods for the bake sale. Contact your child's school to see how you can help. For more information on Wild West Day, visit www.wildwestday.org.
