Carol Rounds is the Title I Reading Teacher at June Creek. She grew up in Miami Beach, FL and received both an Associate’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education followed by a Master’s degree in Early Childhood with honors. She has been teaching for 16 years (4 of them in Eagle County) and has taught all levels ranging from Preschool to 12th Grade. When asked what she loves most about teaching at June Creek, Carol replied, “What I love most about JCES is the sense of community and support that I felt from the first moment I arrived. Each and every staff member cares not only about the lives of our students but also about how successful they can be here at school and out in the world.” Carol lives in Gypsum with her husband, dog, and three cats. They have three grown children and enjoy reading, decorating, cooking, and taking impromptu road trips. Carol’s passion and calling in life is teaching and she truly feels that her life will have meaning if she makes a difference in the life of one child (which she has, many times over).
