2012 School Bus Safety Poster Contest

Showing a commitment to ensuring students are safe, aware and secure going to and from school, school districts across the country are participating in the 2012 School Bus Safety Poster Contest. This year’s theme was “Stand back from the yellow and black,” and Red Hill Elementary School 5th grader Alessie Acosta was the grand prize winner, who received a $50 cash prize and an art easel drawing kit! Other results are as follows: Division #1 (Kindergarten-2nd grade): 1st Place, Victor Sandoval; Tie for 2nd Place, Sydney M. Ellsworth and Ojany Lopez Rea; Tie for 3rd Place, Jacquin Mata. Division #2 (3rd grade-5th grade): Tie for 1st Place, Alessie Acosta and Ulises Lopez Rea; 2nd Place, Christian Reyes; 3rd Place, Amalia Martinez. Division #3 (6th grade-8th grade): 1st Place, Michelle Gonzalez. Thank you to all of the students who participated and kudos to the transportation department for making sure our children are safe and sound on our school buses!
