About English Language Acquisition in Eagle County Schools:
Students who are learning English will take the WIDA ACCESS English language assessment in January and February. The WIDA ACCESS is a statewide assessment in English which evaluates English proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening. All kindergarten through twelfth grade students who have been identified Non-English Proficient or Limited-English Proficient in the state of Colorado will participate. The results will be shared in the spring.
Los estudiantes que están aprendiendo inglés como segunda lengua van a tomar el examen WIDA ACCESS en inglés durante enero y febrero. WIDA ACCESS es un examen estatal que evalúa las habilidades de inglés en los aspectos de lectura, escritura, el habla y escucha. Todos los estudiantes desde kindergarten hasta el 12avo grado que hayan sido identificados como ‘no competentes’ o ‘con dominio limitado’ en el inglés en el estado de Colorado participarán en esta evaluación. Compartiremos los resultados con los padres durante la primavera.
