A component of the Teacher Incentive Fund grant was written to “differentiate contracts for core subject teachers to increase training and instructional planning time.” Details on this aspect of the grant are currently being finalized and are to be announced during Phase III on February 22, 2007.  The Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education have assembled subcommittees to meet and develop a plan for the use of the differentiated contract days.  Please contact Mike Gass or Carolyn Neff if you are interested in providing specific input on how these training days might be used for your content area.
